Heart Check
The courage to look beneath the surface
Sometimes we need the courage to look beneath the surface—not because something is necessarily wrong, but because something important may be waiting to be discovered.
What Is a Heart Check?
A Heart Check is an invitation to slow down long enough to notice what may be happening beneath the surface. It creates room to examine the beliefs, emotions, internal narratives, expectations, experiences, and questions that can quietly shape how we see ourselves and how we move through life.
Heart Check is not about assuming something is wrong. Sometimes reflection reveals a wound. Sometimes it reveals a pattern. Sometimes it reveals strength, growth, gratitude, truth, or something beautiful that has been hidden beneath the surface all along.
The goal is awareness with intention: becoming curious about what the heart is saying so that truth, healing, alignment, and transformation can follow.

Take it to the Meeting Place
Reflection does not always end when the reading ends. The Meeting Place provides room to sit with what surfaced, write what you are hearing, and continue the conversation honestly.
Ways to engage
Read a Heart Check slowly — more than once if you need to.
Journal the questions in The Meeting Place companion.
Bring what surfaces into Heart Echoes and Scripture.
Share in community when you're ready — or simply listen.
Continue With The Way You Need
A Heart Check may be enough for today. Or it may lead you toward Scripture through Heart Echoes, conversation through Hear the Heart, prayer, community, or deeper individual work through coaching. There is no required next step.
The heart knows what the mind often tries to ignore.
When we listen, God leads. When we align, we win.
