BTNW Heart Ambassadors
Carrying the heartbeat of Beyond The Next Win into the community.
Every person adds to our collective heartbeat. BTNW Heart Ambassadors carry that heartbeat into the community through service, generosity, outreach, connection, and a commitment to helping others feel seen, supported, and welcomed.
More Than a Title
BTNW Heart Ambassadors is not simply a name or recognition. It is a commitment to carry the heart, values, and mission of Beyond The Next Win into the lives of others.
Ambassadors pay attention. They listen for what may be happening beneath the surface, recognize where support or connection may be needed, and respond through the gifts, time, relationships, resources, service, or generosity available to them.
They help build a community where people do not have to perform, pretend, or earn the right to belong. They invite others into spaces where their stories matter, their questions are welcome, and their worth is not tied to their next accomplishment.
Who Is a BTNW Heart Ambassador
A BTNW Heart Ambassador is a trusted member of the BTNW Heartbeats community who makes an intentional commitment to help carry the mission beyond their own participation. An Ambassador does not only receive from the community. An Ambassador helps create the welcome, care, connection, resources, and opportunities that allow other people to enter, belong, and grow.
BTNW Heart Ambassadors are people who are moved by what is happening in the hearts and lives of others. They notice who may be standing at the edge of the room, who may need encouragement, who may benefit from a BTNW resource or program, and where practical support could make a difference. They do not assume that they know what another person needs. They listen, build trust, connect people appropriately, and respond within the role and capacity entrusted to them.
An Ambassador may serve publicly or quietly. Some will welcome participants, support events, conduct outreach, follow up with people, facilitate connection, or introduce BTNW to new communities. Others will strengthen the mission behind the scenes through administration, professional expertise, technology, creative work, prayer, sponsorship, financial giving, supplies, relationships, or access to resources. Some will serve in several ways. Visibility does not determine the value of the contribution.
What Becoming a BTNW Heart Ambassador Means
· You are choosing an active role in building, serving, sustaining, representing, or extending the BTNW community.
· You are willing to learn and accurately communicate the mission, values, programs, and heart of Beyond The Next Win.
· You agree to treat every person with dignity and to honor the truth that worth is not tied to accomplishment, position, contribution, or visibility.
· You will serve within an agreed area of responsibility and be honest about your interests, availability, skills, resources, and capacity.
· You will follow BTNW guidance, protect personal stories and sensitive information, and ask for direction when a need is outside your role.
· You will represent BTNW relationally and responsibly in the settings specifically entrusted to you.
· You will remain connected and accountable to the appropriate BTNW leader while serving in the Ambassador role.
What Becoming a BTNW Heart Ambassador Does Not Mean
· It does not make an Ambassador more worthy, important, or included than another member of BTNW Heartbeats.
· It does not require every Ambassador to serve in the same way, give the same amount, or maintain the same schedule.
· It does not automatically make someone an employee, board member, counselor, pastor, crisis responder, or formal media spokesperson for BTNW.
· It does not authorize an Ambassador to make organizational promises, financial commitments, policy decisions, or public statements beyond the authority specifically given to them.
· It does not require an Ambassador to meet every need personally. Part of serving responsibly is knowing when to connect a person with BTNW leadership or an appropriate professional or community resource.
How Someone Becomes a BTNW Heart Ambassador
Becoming a BTNW Heart Ambassador begins with an expression of interest, not an automatic appointment. BTNW will talk with each person about their connection to the mission, interests, experience, capacity, and desired form of contribution. When there is mutual alignment, the person will receive the expectations, boundaries, orientation, and point of contact connected to the role before being confirmed to serve or represent BTNW in a specific capacity. This process ensures every Ambassador understands what they are carrying, how they will contribute, and the responsibility connected to the name.
How BTNW Heart Ambassadors Serve
The work of BTNW Heart Ambassadors has two connected expressions.
Serving People Directly
· Welcome people into BTNW programs, events, conferences, and community spaces.
· Listen with care and help people feel seen rather than overlooked.
· Recognize when someone may need support, connection, information, or appropriate resources.
· Invite others into the BTNW community and explain its mission and programs.
· Support outreach, follow-up, gatherings, workshops, and service activities.
Sustaining and Extending The Mission
· Give financially or help secure sponsorship and other mission-supporting resources.
· Contribute professional, creative, administrative, technical, or organizational skills.
· Provide supplies, services, relationships, connections, or access that strengthen the work.
· Share BTNW opportunities with people and communities that may benefit from them.
· Help the organization grow responsibly so more hearts can be reached and supported.
Representation and Trust
BTNW Heart Ambassadors are trusted to represent the heart of Beyond The Next Win in personal conversations, intimate settings, community sessions, outreach activities, events, and other approved spaces.
They may explain the mission, share information about programs, welcome people, facilitate connection, and speak about what BTNW represents. Every BTNW Heart Ambassador can represent the heart of BTNW within the role and setting entrusted to them.
Formal news media interviews, official organizational statements, legal or policy commitments, and other high-level public communications remain with the founder or a specifically designated spokesperson unless an Ambassador receives separate authorization.
Belonging and Responsibility
BTNW Heart Ambassadors are not more valuable than other BTNW Heartbeats. Their name identifies an additional commitment and responsibility, not a higher level of worth or belonging.
Every Heartbeat matters. Ambassadors help make sure that truth is carried into action by serving people, sustaining the work, and helping others find their way into community.
The Heart of a BTNW Heart Ambassador
BTNW Heart Ambassadors should reflect the mission through how they treat people and how they handle the trust connected to the name. They are expected to:
· Lead with compassion, respect, honesty, and humility.
· Listen before assuming what another person needs.
· Respect different backgrounds, faith journeys, experiences, and perspectives.
· Protect the dignity of the people and stories entrusted to them.
· Avoid pressure, judgment, manipulation, or promises BTNW cannot fulfill.
· Serve consistently within their capacity and communicate when their availability changes.
· Represent BTNW's mission and values accurately in the spaces entrusted to them.
An Invitation to Carry the Heart
Do you notice the person standing at the edge of the room? Do you listen for what is not being said? Does someone else's need move you to respond with your time, presence, resources, skills, relationships, or generosity?
You may already carry the heart of a BTNW Heart Ambassador.
There is room to serve directly. There is room to help sustain the work. There is room to use what you have so another person can be seen, supported, connected, and reminded that their heart matters.
Carry the heartbeat. Extend the community. Help make belonging possible for someone else.
